Sam Lightstone.  Over the past 20 years Sam has worked with dozens of Fortune 500 companies, industrial and scientific conferences, and major universities on topics related to software project management, go-to-market strategies, careers, technology trends, emerging research needs, autonomic computing and information management systems. Sam has been quoted in eWeek, InformationWeek, InfoWorld, IT World, and the MIT Technology Review.  He is recipient of the IBM Outstanding Leadership Award and recipient of three IBM corporate technical awards for Outstand Technical Achievement. As a technical leader, project manager and recruiter Sam has excelled at leading teams. His management career has spanned small high performance applied research teams up to large scale projects with over 200 staff across multiple geographies. In 2003 he was elected to the Canadian Technical Excellence Council. Sam is an IBM Master Inventor with over 30 patents and patents pending. He is co-author of five books on information management and software professionalism. 
 

Aitan Lerner obtained a four year B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science from a private University in New York City. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, earning his LL.B. in 1996. Since his call to the Bar in Ontario in 1998, Aitan Lerner has always maintained a criminal law practice. Aitan was the managing partner of a Toronto litigation firm until he set up his own Criminal Law Practice in 2002 to focus his practice exclusively in the area of criminal law. 


Daniel Weiss, MD, FACC, is a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist with Florida Arrhythmia Consultants and the Founder and President of his own consultancy, Weiss Consulting Groups, which provides consultation services to the business world on medical topics and to medical drug and device startup companies. He is currently the Chief Medical Officer for Vicor Medical Technologies, specializing in Medical Devices and Supplies. Through Dr. Weiss’ work as a consultant he has worked as Chief Medical Officer of a startup biotech company, Chief Medical Advisor of an engineering and software consulting firm, and chief cardiology advisor to a pharmaceutical corporation. He has been an investigator on numerous studies, including AVID, MADIT II, SCD-HeFT, as well as several other NIH studies. Dr. Weiss also serves as a consultant to several implantable cardiac device companies, including Medtronic, St Jude, and Guidant. 


Elisheva Berger, BScN, MScN, is Director of Care at SageCare, a residential care home for people with dementia in Toronto. She is also a lecturer of Nursing at Seneca College School of Health Sciences. Previously, Elisheva edited an online book for people with dementia, and was a lecturer at Humber College School of Health Sciences in the Nursing Department. Elisheva was previously Assistant to the Vice President of Nursing at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. For several years she worked in the Emergency Department of a downtown metropolitan teaching hospital. She has a baccalaureate in nursing from McMaster University School of Nursing, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and a Masters of Nursing Science from the University of Toronto. She is member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing, and was a member of its executive for several years.
