Diane was the President and CEO of VMware, Inc. between 1998 and 2008. Under Diane’s leadership, VMware created the market for mainstream virtualization  and the resulting virtualization software industry. Diane has held technical leadership positions at Silicon Graphics, Sybase, and Tandem, and was CEO of VXtreme. Before co-founding and leading VMware she founded Vxtreme, a streaming video company purchased by Microsoft in 1997 and served as its CEO. Greene held technical leadership positions at Silicon Graphics, Tandem, and Sybase. She is a global leader in software for virtualized desktops, servers, storage, and networking. Diane has been an independent member of Intuit, Inc.’s Board of Directors since August 17, 2006, and is a member of the MIT Corporation.
